A Brief Explanation

A Brief Explanation of the God-ordained Way Training in Northern California

The God-ordained Way Training is a comprehensive training to perfect the believers to carry out God’s economy in and through the enjoyment of Christ as their life and life supply according to the truths revealed in God’s Word, enabling Christ to be lived out through the members of His Body to express God in His glory, to build up the local churches as the golden lampstands to be the testimony of Jesus, and to spread Christ as the universal vine through the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom throughout the entire inhabited earth that the end may come.

The Father spoke from heaven concerning Christ: “This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found My delight” (Matt. 3:17). The Lord spoke concerning Himself: “I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). We can see that only Christ is pleasing to the Father and that only He as the truth conveying Himself to us as life is the way for us to live and to come to the Father. Therefore, Paul said that to him, “to live is Christ” (Phil. 1:21).

Christ said, “I will build my church” (Matt. 16:18). How? He revealed the way through Paul who said, “He Himself [Christ, the Head] gave some as apostles and some as prophets and some as evangelists and some as shepherds and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ” (Eph. 4:11-12). The Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life has become the Head of the Body and has given gifted persons in cooperation with grace to train (Titus 2:11-12), to perfect all the saints so that their spiritual functions may be developed to beget sons for God, to nourish them to grow, to perfect them to function, and to build themselves up into the Body of Christ. The God-ordained way to carry out God’s economy is for us to pray individually, in vital groups, and in the church, to be filled with the Spirit and to teach the word of the truth as the gospel so that the Divine Trinity may dispense Himself into us, through us, and out of us into all those around us for the increase of the church. Furthermore, we should be trained to live a life of the altar and the tent so that we may be ready to be sent by the Head to disciple the nations by preaching the gospel of the kingdom throughout the whole earth to establish local churches, “planting church trees,” as the testimony of Jesus.

The Lord needs to gain at least 144,000 firstfruits (Rev. 14:1-6) as the reality of the Body of Christ to become the dispensational instrument to end this age and usher in the coming age of the kingdom. For our part, we need to prepare for and hasten His coming (2 Pet. 3:12) by maturing in life (Col. 1:28; Matt. 25:4), by coming to the full knowledge of the truth, both objectively and subjectively (1 Tim. 2:4), by being faithful in our service to beget sons for God, to nourish them to grow, and to perfect them as members of the Body to function by prophesying for building up the Body of Christ (Matt. 24:45; 25:21, 23).

While we have all received the divine, eternal life through our regeneration, this life needs training to grow unto maturity and function. This training, therefore, will help the believers in the following areas:

  1. To learn to study the truth, beginning with an overview of the Lord’s recovery (the 96 Lessons) and continuing with the study introduced by Brother Lee in Book 3 of the Elders’ Training.
  2. To learn to live the God-man life to express the divine attributes in their aromatic human virtues to attract and captivate the people around them.
  3. To learn to practice the vital group according to the three vital group trainings given by Brother Lee in 1992, 1993, and 1996 for the increase of the church.
  4. To learn to enjoy the Lord alone every morning to be revived and throughout the day, to be rooted in Christ.
  5. To learn to practice BNPB (Begetting, Nourishing, Perfecting and Building) in a progressive and definite way, with the vital groups being the lifeline and the districts being the opportunity to prophesy for the
  6. building up of the church.
  7. To learn to establish new churches in nearby localities.
  8. To be prepared to migrate to other cities, states, countries, and continents.

Some may ask who is giving the training or whose training it is. A proper and genuine training in the Lord’s recovery should consist of two main elements:

  1. The training material must come from the ministry of God’s New Testament economy. Any material that is not from the ministry of the age should not be used for our perfecting. Different coworkers may emphasize different aspects of the ministry because of their view and experience, but the coworkers should not present that which is contrary to the ministry of God’s New Testament economy, and they should serve in a blended way
  2. The grace of God, the enjoyment of God in Christ as the Spirit, is the real trainer within us (Titus 2:11-12). Without the grace to energize and supply us, the trainings will become a religion with many regulations. However, when we enjoy the moment-by-moment abundant supply of grace, the regulations in the training will help us grow.

The coworkers, elders, responsible ones, and saints are all trainees.  Because we all need further perfecting in life, in truth, and in our service, we all need training to learn, progress, and advance in order to carry out God’s economy.

The coworkers and the leading ones in Northern California are praying and laboring together in one accord to carry out this training during the coming three years to arrive at this goal. In the process, the coworkers, the leading ones, and the saints of the participating churches in Northern California will receive great blessing and be blended into one for the building up of the Body of Christ.

May we all pray strongly and earnestly and give ourselves to the Lord desperately for this training that through it, the Lord may reach His goal and we, as faithful stewards, may be rewarded with the fullest enjoyment of Christ in this age and the uttermost enjoyment of Christ with all His overcoming saints in the age to come (Phil. 3:11-14).
